This is our other Solar Power Plant which is also a roof-mounted Solar Power Plant in Dubai, UAE. This is an on-grid Solar Power Plant or Solar System. In an on-grid Solar system, you don’t need to install the batteries. All your solar system is directly connected with the grid in on-grid system.

Components of Solar PV Plant:

All the components of this solar power plant are similar to the solar Power Plant 01. Because both of these plants are designed, Installed, and owned by the same company. That is why components used for these two plants are similar in specifications. So we are not going to the details of these components which are similar to Solar Power Plant 01. Here we will only discuss the aspects of this solar power plant which are different than Solar PowerPlant 01.

Solar PV Module:

Solar PV modules are manufacture by Sun Power and each solar PV module is rated as 435WP. All the specifications of these solar PV modules are similar to Solar Power Plant 1.

STC conditions for the above mentioned specifications are 1000W/m2 irradiance, 25oC cell temperature and 1.5 AM.

Solar PV inverter:

There are a total of 5 solar PV inverters installed for this Solar Power Plant. Each Solar PV inverter is rated as 42KVA. These solar PV inverters are installed outside on the rooftop without any enclosure. The total installed capacity of these solar PV inverters is 210KVA.

DC String Cables:

DC string cable used for this Solar Power Plant is 4mm2. 3 core, 25mm2 AC cable is used for this Solar Power Plant. Point of Connection for this Solar Power Plant is inside the building in the LV room. DC combiner box is mounted on the rooftop near the solar PV inverters.

AC Output Cables:

As mentioned above 25mm2 AC cable is used from Solar PV inverter to the AC combiner box. From the AC combiner box to the point of connection or meter cabinet 150mm2, 3 core AC cable is used.

AC Combiner Box:

AC combiner box is locally manufactured and all the components inside the AC combiner box are manufactured by ABB. All the circuit breakers and relays installed inside this AC combiner box are manufacture by ABB. There are 6 40A circuit breakers 1 for each solar PV inverter and one for surge arrester. UPS supply is also supplied inside this AC combiner box to the interface protection relay, so that it could function normally even if there is any breakdown in the solar PV plant.

Breakers and Relays:

There is a separate circuit breaker for each individual component that is connected to the solar PV plant. All the relays and circuit breakers are manufacture by ABB Italy. For further specifications please refer to the Solar Power Plant 01.

Mounting Structure:

The mounting structure for this Power plant is a single PV module mounting structure. In a single module mounting structure, each individual solar PV module is installed on the different mounting structures. The material used for this mounting structure is aluminum.

Cable Trays:

Cables trays for this solar PV plant are ranges from 50mm to 200mm in width. All the cable trays are made by GI material.
